JetCarz is a two-sided marketplace for water jet ski rentals. Operators list their fleet with pricing, availability, and location. Riders search, book, pay, and get on the water — all in under five minutes.

The Problem

Jet ski rental operators had no digital booking infrastructure. Walk-ins dominated. Revenue was unpredictable. Operators had no fleet visibility across multiple locations and no way to collect reviews.

What We Built

A marketplace with operator fleet management, real-time availability, Stripe Connect split payments, ID verification via OCR, and bundled marine insurance. Dynamic pricing adjusts rates by season and demand automatically.

Platform commission per booking. Premium operator subscription for analytics and multi-location management.

How we built it

Week 1

Operator onboarding + fleet schema

Designed the multi-operator data model with fleet listings, pricing rules, location GPS coordinates, and availability calendars. Built the Filament operator portal for fleet management.

Search + availability engine

Built the public search with location radius, date range, and rider count filters. Real-time availability synced from operator calendars via webhook layer with Redis caching.

Booking flow + insurance API + payments

Built the rider booking funnel: model selection, ID verification via OCR API, marine insurance bundling, and Stripe split payments distributing commission to operator and platform.

Added post-ride review system, season and demand-based dynamic pricing rules, and an operator revenue dashboard. Deployed on Fly.io with 3 pilot locations live at launch.
